The dead of the rebellious side in the civil war were protagonists of the exaltation of the victory in the war through the realization of a series of commemorative acts inserted in the promulgation of a collective and selective memory, propitiated by the Regime, practically from the finalization of the contest as shown by the changes of nomination in the local street, appearance of crosses in prominent places of cities and towns like Marbella that are still present today or financial compensation to the relatives of the dead in the “ national side”.
