Social and hospital assistance in the 19th century: the case of Marbella.

About the middle of the XVI century, Mr. Alonso de Bazán who was the mayor of Marbella´s castle by desisnation of the Count of Teba, become an influential person. To this death, he disposed in this testament that if his legitimate descendants become extinct his dwelling would become an hospital and his riches would be assigned to treatment and acommodation of the poor people of Marbella. This hospital foundation is nowadays maintained as the Museum of Contemporany Engraviry in Andalucia.
