The interest for the recreational uses in the protected natural spaces has provoked new conflicts and environmental impacts. For this reason, it is necessary a suitable planning of these practices. The suitability of these spaces determines that the planning documents should order and manage these activities adequately. Nevertheless, most of the planning and managementdocuments do not have an ideal regulation of them, from a territorial point of view.
In this paper it has analyzed the territorial regulation of the recreational practices in the planning documents of the Andalusian Natural Reserves. The existing gaps in the current planning determine the need to develop technics and tools that help to the agents of these protected areas to order the mentioned practices. The studies of carrying capacity are of great interest because they allow determine the real and potential loads that the resources of the recreational practices present.
