Several investigations show the effects of physical activity (PA) on health in the older adults. The main aims of this research were: 1) to evaluate the relationship between the PA recommendations proposed by the World Health Organization and the perception of quality of life in the elderly, and 2) to determine the effect of an intervention based on lifestyle advices. For this, we selected 28 older adults (70.6±6.2) from Villanueva de Gállego (Zaragoza). These participantswere distributed in experimental group (EG) and control group. All subjects completed a questionnaire on quality of life (EQ-5D) and PA level (RAPA). The subjects who practiced regular PA presented higher levels of quality of life (p<0.05). The intervention based on awareness could be a useful strategy in improving the perception of the quality of life of older adults.
