The solid waste collection problem and the transportation to the transfer plants constitute, from an economical level, a high percentage of the waste management cost. Then, using the appropriate decision making process brings multiple benefits to the administrations in charge of the service. This work introduces a tool to analyze the Waste Collection Problem (WCP) in Málaga. To achieve that goal, and provide solution to a model determined by the charactersitics of the problem including multiple criteria, we propose different multiobjective approaches of GRASP. In combination with other improvement strategies, these strategies provide a good approximation of the efficient front. Then, in order to guide the decision maker through the process, new features are incorporated to NAUTILUS interactive methods to incorporate different considerations about vehicle routing. For this kind of problems, it is important to highlight the use of Geographical Information Systems. The performance of this methodology is applied to solve the waste collection problem in Málaga.
