Animals and Possible Worlds
Abstract: The paper suggests that a better understanding of animal behavior im-plies overcoming the idea that animals are different from humans precisely in that they lack awareness or intelligence. The search for this understanding could lead us to notable improvements in our image of the natural world, which could allow us to access other dimensions of reality that animal consciousness knows how to reveal.
Keywords: Consciousness, Philosophy of Mind, Subject, Intelligence, Reason, Instinct.
