Resumen

Se presentan tres modelos teóricos acerca del proceso diagnóstico y la forma en que se organizan los conocimienros en la memoria del clínico. Estos modelos son el de Berrios y Chen, que concibe la organización de los conocimientos como redes neuronales artificiales; el modelo semántico estructural de Lemieux y Bordage, que propone como principio estrucrurador de los conocimientos el concepto de eje semántico; y el de Schmidt y Boshuizen, que propone el concepto de guión de enfermedad. Tras ello, se expone la imbricación de cada modelo en la psicología básica, los pasos que propone para el proceso diagnóstico, cómo se organizan los conocimientos en memoria y cómo se recuperan de la misma al aplicarlos a la solución de casos clínicos particulares, qué criterios utiliza el clínico para juzgar si un determinado dato empírico es relevante y debe ser recogido y, por último, la posible utilidad que tiene cada modelo para la enseñanza del psicodiagnóstico (i.e., evaluación en psicología clínica).
