This paper deals with the relationship between thinking and acting in Arendt’s work. She points at the fact that human being has to understand the world where he lives and has to love the earth in order to make it a human space. This creation of the humanitas has different ways of developing: some of them (work and action) are practical, and some of them (critical thinking and judgment) are contemplative. The tension between both kinds of activities makes difficult its relationship in Arendt’s thought.Downloads
