ABSTRACT
The concept of event has an ultimately political role in Žižek’s work despite its realization is indebted to the development of Žižek’s ontology. One of his main purposes will be to clarify whether it’s possible to differentiate event from act. If so, act
would become the means by which subjectivity relates to event. Žižek’s target is to use this concept to help develop an alternative to capitalism.
