Recent studies suggest that the type of device used to respond to surveys may affect the disclosure of sensitive information. This paper analyzes whether the type of device used has an effect on the composition of the sample, the context in which the surveys are answered, and the tendency to reveal harassment experiences. To this end, a sample was used comprised of college students in Spain (N = 2,068), who completed the surveys on computers (54.3%) or cellphones (45.7%). The results suggest that the type of device affects the way people respond to surveys, but not their propensity to reveal situations of harassment. The results and their implications are discussed.
