Abstract

In 2013 Europe and the USA began the negotiations about a new international and bilateral trade agreement, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Three years later, there is a strong resistance to the firm of this treaty, because of its opacity and the publication of a lot of critical academic studies. The paper of NGOs and civil society has been very important to move public opinion, specially in Europe, to opposite. The original plan to get an agreement in 2017 is now far and difficult. Instead of the European Commision’s efforts for more transparency, the Brexit in Europe and the electoral presidential campaign in USA are both of them facts that are not helping to progress in the official direction.
