The cultural richness which is the “historical reenactment” in preserving identity and historical memory, and its use as an educational tool to strengthen the knowledge of History in an entertaining way, demonstrates and reaffirms the importance of costume as language and as prime historical document. For people involved in the celebration of Macharaviaya (Malaga, Spain) which commemorates the US Independence (1776) and the Battle of Pensacola (1781), it has been taught a seminar workshop about historical reenactment on women’s clothing during the 70s of the eighteenth century in the area of La Florida and Louisiana, related with Bernardo de Galvez time, outstanding personality in the history of New Spain and US Independence.
