Abstract

Report on the VII Iberian Forum of Museology. On 19 and 20 October 2023, the Faculty of Arts of Ciudad Real hosted the event, together with the Provincial Museum of Ciudad Real and the National Theatre Museum of Almagro. Along with the aforementioned organising institutions, the support for the 7th Iberian Forum of Museology from the Malaga university community included CEIT, the Centre for Ibero-American and Transatlantic Studies of the General Foundation of the University of Malaga, and the R&D&I project Desnortadas. Author Biographies

Ariadna Ruiz Gómez, Universidad de Málaga

Juan de la Cierva professor and researcher in the Department of Art History at the University of Málaga. PhD in Art History from the Complutense University of Madrid, specialising in social museology, with training and experience in cultural management and exhibition curatorship. She has worked in the Directorate General of Fine Arts and in the Foreign Promotion of Culture of the Spanish Ministry of Culture. She is currently part of the i+D+I Research Projects Desnortadas. Territorios del género en la creación artística contemporánea and Museos de arte contemporáneo en España: su engarce territorial e internacional, both of the MCIN and AEI. She is also a member of the Institute for Equality and Gender of the University of Malaga, of the Asia Chair and art advisor for TSN magazine.

Álvaro Notario Sánchez, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha

Doctor en Historia del Arte por la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Desde 2022 es profesor ayudante doctor, con docencia en el grado de Historia del Arte y Máster de Investigación de la Facultad de Letras. Entre sus líneas de investigación destacan la gestión cultural en la Segunda República, la intelectualidad española republicana en el exilio y los estudios de museos en los siglos XX y XXI. En la actualidad forma parte de los proyectos de investigación I+D+i «Puentes creativos. Desplazamientos, retornos, disidencias y adhesiones en el arte español contemporáneo» y «Museos de arte contemporáneo en España: su engarce territorial e internacional», ambos del MCIN y AEI. Además, es miembro del grupo de investigación Estudios Históricos y Culturales Contemporáneos, de la Facultad de Letras de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha.
