La música griega moderna como instrumento de aprendizaje en el aula

Abstract

Modern Greek music can be a useful instrument for the learning of Ancient Greek. To that end, we provide a selection of songs, all translated and explained; the starting point is always the Ancient Greek language and the knowledge of it that our pupils are gradually acquiring. The intention is not just to show the continuity of Greek language, from antiquity to present time, but also, to use Modern Greek music as a novel learning method. This may prove to be a very strong incentive for high school students of Ancient Greek.
