This text presents a parallelism between Medea by Euripides and The frontier (La frontera) by David Cureses. There is an exploration of their similarities and differences in terms of underlying themes and characters’ personality traits. Additionally, there is a comparison of the social, cultural and historic characteristics of Classical Greece and 19th-Century Argentina. Throughout the text, the analysis takes a pedagogical perspective, trying to bring distant, unfamiliar literatures closer to more familiar contexts.
