Abstract

This work results from the collaboration of two professors and a student of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra (FLUC) in the Project of Educational Innovation (PIE17-174) “La aplicación del Reading Method a la enseñanza del griego y del latín clásico” (2017-2019), conceived by Cristóbal Macías Villalobos and developed by the University of Málaga between 2017 and 2019. We intend, in a first moment, to present the difficulties in converting the didactic materials produced by Cristóbal Macías (cf. Thamyris 6 (2015), 201-300) into interactive exercises. It is also our intention to make known how the application of these exercises took place, in the first semester of the academic year 2018/2019, in two classes of Latin I —Initiation. This work was developed in close collaboration with two classes of Greek I - Initiation. Finally, seeking to combine practice with research, we comment on the results of the questionnaires proposed to students about the relevance of the methodology used in both disciplines.
