An approach for teaching and learning team sports in the science degree in physical activity and sport

In the present research, we aimed to analyse the general difference between the student group of team sports and the student group of individual sports, to assess specific differences in their self-evaluation, and observe if their level of expertise could predict success in the trainees corresponding to these team sports. The results revealed that those devoted to individual sports studies significantly overestimated their self-evaluation with respect to that of the teacher, while those in team sports groups showed no significant differences compared with the teacher’s evaluation. This is one of the few studies that has tested the comparisons between self-evaluation and the teacher´s evaluation in team and individual sports which may provide insights for future research in this topic.
