Implementation of contrastive analysis between fansubbing and professional translation in metacognitive exercises

This paper presents a proposal on the use of comparative excercises using amateur and professional subtitles. The main purpose of this practice is promoting metacognitive exercises that favor critical thinking and problem solving with regards to the terms of reference in the Spanish-Chinese combination. For this, it will be analyzed the most frequent mistakes obtained from an investigation on three tv-shows with plots developed in different social contexts; it will also be reviewed the sociolinguistic parameters that can affect the terms of reference in the Chinese language, such as some concepts of Confucianism that are closely related to the terms of politeness.
