Aims and Scope

The ELECTRONIC JOURNAL OF DIDACTICS OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETING (redit) is a peer-reviewed electronic journal of a scientific nature, published annually.

Peer review process

REDIT operates with an Editorial Board in accordance with the criteria set out in its internal regulations. In addition to the Editorial Board, redit has an Advisory Board composed of distinguished members of the scientific and academic community. Prior to publication, each article undergoes anonymous peer review, during which reviewers may provide suggestions for revision and improvement, where appropriate, prior to the preparation of the final version

Submission and Acceptance of Articles. Each submitted article is forwarded to designated experts for the evaluation of its scientific relevance. Their reports, which are strictly confidential, are then considered by the Editorial Board, which decides whether the article will be published and in which issue of the journal. In the event of rejection, the Editorial Board will always provide the reasons for its decision.

The Editorial Board is not responsible for the content and opinions expressed by the authors.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides open access to all its content, based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Plagiarism Policy

REDIT maintains a plagiarism prevention policy to ensure that all published works are original. To this end, it makes professional use of the Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate) service to screen all submitted manuscripts. This service is applied to manuscripts that have passed the initial stage of the editorial process and are eligible to be sent for double-blind peer review. The journal reserves the right to reject any articles that present an unacceptable level of similarity. In addition, complementary plagiarism detection tools are used, such as Unicheck, an open-access platform that allows for the verification of text originality and the detection of potential matches.

Article processing charges

Under no circumstances are authors required to pay any article processing charges in this journal.

Digital preservation policies

All journal content (website, manuscripts, etc.) is stored across multiple systems. The content is hosted on an online server accessible to readers, and an additional backup copy is also maintained. The OJS software performs weekly backups using the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems. The journal assigns DOIs, which helps ensure persistent access to articles through Crossref. In addition, the journal’s content is available in open access through various databases, such as REBIUN and Dialnet, further supporting long-term preservation through multiple sources.

Overview

The ELECTRONIC JOURNAL OF DIDACTICS OF INTERPRETING AND TRANSLATION -redit- was established by a group of academics interested in the scientific development and professional practice of teaching and learning in translation and interpreting. The aim of the journal is to provide a forum for theoretical approaches and applied proposals for pedagogical action, as well as for approaches to teaching oriented towards professional practice and its requirements. The journal provides a platform for exchange among specialists interested in reflecting on teaching in translation and interpreting studies, particularly in the current context of the Information Society and digital technologies, which are bringing about profound changes in pedagogical approaches and whose opportunities and limitations require careful examination.
