Peer review policy
The selection of articles and critical notes is regimented by the next system of evaluation.
1. Refereeing. All the works will be evaluated by two reviewers, namely, two top-level academics and specialists in the subject on which the article or note is about. The reviewers will always be outside the Board of Directors and the Editorial Board.
The refereeing is a double-blind procedure. Articles require two favorable reviews in order to get published. In the case of critical notes, one favorable review is enough for publication and one negative review could prevent it.
Regardless of the reviews, the reviewers’ opinions and remarks or suggestions will be communicated to the authors through the OJS Website of the journal.
— In case a contribution is considered as publishable, but the review includes suggestions, the authors will be free to take them into account and incorporate them into the work, always within due time.
— In case the publication of a contribution is conditioned on certain improvements, the final acceptance will depend on the actual adequacy between the incorporated changes and the opinion of the reviewers.
— When a contribution is not accepted for publication, authors will have full freedom to assume the corrections and incorporate them into the manuscript in order to resubmit it for publication in a later number of Metafísica y Persona, which in due course should be submitted, like any other contribution, for a new process of review.
2. Authorship. Once the manuscript has been edited, their authors will be able to use and disseminate them freely, always referring to Metafísica y Persona as the place where they were initially published.
3. Certification and delivery of copies. Authors whose papers are published will receive two physical copies of the number in which their article/note was published by post mail. If they request it, they will also be sent a certificate that the work has been accepted for publication and that it will be published in due course.
