The present article aims at clarifying the notion of human rights in the ideas put forward by John Finnis in the framework of the classical iusnaturalist tradition. In particular, I focus on the relations between that notion and that of basic human goods, with the intention of resolving some of the main questions asked today in the field of philosophy of rights.
