Three dimensions in the human being are differentiated in this paper: the organic one, or body; the immaterial one, or the realm of possessions, made up by the two immaterial powers —intelligence and will—, what modern philosophy calls “myself;” and a third one, spiritual, or the realm of being, the person or spirit, which comprises the human inner self. This paper studies the cognoscitive method for getting to know the human being, and the human inner self is described as free, cognoscent and loving existence.
