A comparison is established between the Polian method of abandoning the mental limit and the Thomistic doctrine of the real distinction between essence and being: that method is consistent with this topic; and, conversely, this topic makes that method possible. From the starting point of this solidarity, metaphysics is presented as an exercise in personal generosity; but, it is external to the person, and then it does not attain personal existence.
