The essay explores the philosophy of the impersonal of Roberto Esposito and trace a genealogy of problems with regard to the possibility of an infrapolitical ethical, which is based on an ontology of the impersonal. The essay is divided into three parts. The first part is a reconstruction of the criticism of Roberto Esposito to the history of the concept of person. This section argues why the person can´t be explained satisfactorily by the conceptual history. The second section is a description of the history of the problematization of the concept of person and, for this reason, includes a displacement of the genealogy of authors proposed by Esposito at a broader map to determine the philosophical grounds of the impersonal. The third section outlines the guidelines for an ethics of the impersonal based on a critique of the device of the person.
