Abstract

This article analyzes the crisis of the 20s that originated the personalist thought, and compares it with the current crisis to establish the attitude to be taken before her by contemporary personalism. The analysis shows three main features: postmodernism, a crisis of theoretical and practical values and the non-novelty of personalism, two missing in the crisis of the 20s. From these findings it is considered that, to provide new insight to the resolution of the crisis of contemporary sense, personalism should be aware that: 1) is in a second period different of the original and 2) must develop new theoretical proposals linked with the first period but more systematic and sophisticated. In this sense are presented the main features of the modern ontological personalism (POM), recently proposed by Burgos on the basis of the anthropology of Karol Wojtyla.
