Spirituality has shown beneficial effects in variables such as resilience and emotional well-being in palliative care but there are no interventions applied in general population, which suggests an area of opportunity for evidence-based prevention in mental health. The World Health Organization (2020) emphasizes that prevention should consider protective variables to reduce vulnerability to psychopathology. The objective of the study was to analyze the effects of a therapeutic interview on Spirituality on variables of distress and resilience in general population. A cross-sectional quantitative pilot study was carried out through pre/post intervention measures with the KIBO therapeutic interview to address Spirituality in a population of 16 participants with prior signed informed consent. Data analyzes were carried out with the SPSS program for descriptive statistical analysis and comparison of means. The results indicate that the intervention is effective both to reduce the levels of distress and to promote spirituality and resilience.
