Puesto que los puntos de vista normal y patológicos del yo se basan en la experiencia de la persona, nuestro foco se centra en esa experiencia del yo. Nuestra aproximación se basa en una elaboración de Skinner (1953, 1974) sobre el análisis del yo y en nuestra experiencia clínica. Explicaremos la experiencia del yo al identificar y describir algo (el estímulo) que se experimenta.
