This work delves into the relevance of the epistolary field through El valor de las cartas en el tiempo (ed. José Teruel y Santiago López-Ríos, Iberoamericana-Vervuert, 2023), miscellany of different correspondences of our writers. The aim is to provide a philological framework regarding these archival research, as well as to shed light on the procedure with unpublished works by paying attention to the chapters of the monograph. The essay is part of a growing interest in this genre given the notability of the letters in literary historiography. Consequentially, penetrate the collection proves to be precise to elucidate the new approaches and considerations to the lines of this field, certifying the estimable results they yield as well as the continuity and evolution of the academic work with these private writings.
