The poetry of Dámaso Alonso has considerable philosophical value. The analysis of some of the poems in Gozos de la vista allows us to note how, in them, the metaphor of light becomes the vehicle for a specific conception of poetry, understood as a form of love for the world. In this sense, poetry, coinciding with divine creation (and truth), runs through the universe from the beginning, animating it and keeping it united.
