Abstract

Based on morphological differences with respect to other species from the northern Iberian Peninsula and the rest of western Europe, the new species Taraxacum fagacearum from the beech and oak forests of the Cantabrian Mountains is described. T. alatum H. Lindb., T. boekmanii Borgv., T. marklundii Palmgr. and T. subhamatum M. P. Christ. are reported for the first time from some areas of northern Spain.
