Abstract

Culture in Europe is experiencing a critical age, not only because of the permanent and massive immigration, issue non addressed here, but also because of the tiredness of Latin and the traditions of the Christian communities. Certainly one can be an European without professing any religion, but one can not understand the present state without understanding what these traditions mean for Europe. On the other hand, multiculturalism has caused the destruction of the historical-cultural synthesis, which is now
threatened from outside the continent. There covery of Latin implies the existence of authors and persons capable of reading in Latin. However, if the development of a Latin book market is not attempted, the historical substratum will disappear and the lack of
cultural identity will be come sharper. Latin lives decisive instants and its survival, depends on those who once studied it and could re-cultivate it.
