De Hesíodo a Kazantzakis: desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa en lengua griega a través del cine

Abstract

The author presents in this article some practical examples developed in the classroom. They are based on different American and European film projections about Greek literature, history and customs. Leaving aside the frequent clichés about the extroverted and crazy nature of Greek people, it is important to highlight easily recognizable Greek expressions, from colloquial expressions to brief references to classic authors. The visualization and frequent hearing of expressions in modern Greek develops in the students a remarkable ability to read and interpret simple texts written in ancient Greek.
