Nowadays, it is very easy for anyone to pick up his or her cell phone and suggest an audiovisual activity to the students. What is no longer that simple is to connect with students, with the topics or make the end product attractive to its final viewers (the students themselves, the educational community, social networks or even the media). In this paper, it will be explained how, with the vocabulary of a few chapters of Familia Romana, a video has been produced in which the students sing and dance the stories of Julio and Emilia with a reggaeton rythm. This video has subsequently reached the press, contributing to the dissemination of our materials among the whole society.
Based on this example, some key aspects to improve the audiovisual experience in the classroom will be provided for those inspired to make videos with their students. We will talk about the technical script and the literary script, the pre-production of the video, the recording, sound quality, the raccord, the lighting, the backgrounds. Finally, resources for the assembly of the video (editing programs for video, music, sound
effects, png images, labels, image banks...) will be listed.
