Percepción de la imagen corporal de población chilena en situación de pandemia.

Resumen

El objetivo fue asociar y correlacionar tiempo de confinamiento y actividad física (AF) con la imagen corporal (IC) en población Chilena en pandemia. Estudio cuantitativo descriptivo, correlacional. Participaron 1.038 personas, 426 hombres, 609 mujeres y 3 personas que no manifestaron género. Se utilizó encuesta con para datos generales y Body Shape Questionnarie (BSQ). Nivel de confinamiento y tiempo de confinamiento, no se correlacionan con nivel de Escala BSQ. El nivel de confinamiento sí se correlaciona, con sumatoria de escala BSQ con baja fuerza estadística. Días de la semana y tiempo de AF, sí presentan correlación (p=< 0,01) con el nivel y sumatoria de Escala BSQ. Se concluye que hay correlación entre el tiempo semanal de AF con el nivel BSQ, quiénes tuvieron mayor preocupación por su IC tienen niveles bajos de AF y quienes tienen un mayor nivel de AF no presentan niveles altos de preocupación por la IC.
