The aim of the study was to analyze the heart rate (HR) and the rate of perceived exertion (RPE) in a table tennis player before and after an official competition, considering the match outcome (win or loss). HR and RPE were registered in a player over 16 official matches. Significant differences were observed in the PRE values compared to the POST values in minimum HR (HRmin), mean HR (HRmean), and maximum HR (HRmax), due to the fatigue generated by the match. Additionally, differences were found in the POST values based on the outcome for the variables HRmin and HRmax, with lower values observed in won matches. Moreover, lower levels of perceived muscular exertion were registered in matches won compared to those lost.
