The initiation, improvement and training of swimming technique are components of vital importance to strengthen the efficiency in the execution of the strokes. The objective of this research was to design and validate a battery for the technical evaluation of the crawl swimming style. The study was a descriptive non-experimental quantitative study, since there was no manipulation of independent variables. The content validation was carried out through the logical validity technique by means of expert judgment (n=11) and was supported by the calculation of the content validity index. The evaluation of the test (test-retest) was developed with 72 swimmers from a sports club. As a result, a valid and reliable battery for the evaluation of the technical execution of the crawl style in swimming is presented, which contains 15 items segmented into kick, lateral breathing and stroke. Its use is recommended for the planning, foundation and development of technique in specific technical gestures.
