Se estudian las comunidades helofiticas, higro-escio?tilas y terrisaxi?colas de comportamiento microclima?tico, del piso supramediterra?neo de Sierra Nevada. Asimismo se describen dos nuevas comunidades: la asociacio?n Bryo-Plagiomnietum undulatae, propia de estaciones sometidas a un flujo continuo de agua en forma de goteo, y la asociacio?n Pellio-Plagiomnietum rostatae de menores necesidades hi?dricas y propia de taludes cercanos a cascadas.
