The pollen morphology of 13 taxa of Veronica L. has been studied by light and scanning electron microspopy: V. scutellata, V. anagallis-aquatica, V. anagalloides, V. thriphyllos, V. praecox, V. arvensis, V. peregrina, V. polita, V. agrestis, V. persica, V. cymbalaria, V. hederifolia subsp. hederifolia and V. hederifolia subsp. triloba. The results confirm the eurypalynous character of the genus. Based on the surface ornamentation two morphological types are recognized. The relationships among the palynological and other morphological data are discussed.
