GRANTS AWARDED IN THE 2015 AND 2016 EDUSI CALLS TO MUNICIPALITIES OF CATALONIA: CONTEXT AND BRIEF COMMENT

The article presents a summary and context of the aid granted to municipalities in Catalonia by the first two resolutions, of September 2016 and May 2017, of the calls for Sustainable Urban Development Strategies (EDUSI), co-financed through the ERDF Operational Program for sustainable growth 2014-2020. The population of Catalonia is highly concentrated in three counties around the city of Barcelona and this irregular distribution is clearly projected in the number of EDUSI applications submitted, in the geographical location of these applications and in the same way in that of the projects selected for its financing.
