Abstract

This article presents the experience developed by the Valencian Institute of
Building (IVE) in the Valencian Community, in the field of information and
education of citizens, in order to promote the active participation of citizens
themselves as demanding quality in homes.
There is a broad consensus in the sector on the need to encourage investment
in rehabilitation and improvement of the extensive existing housing stock. The majority
