This visual essay showcases a sequence of pictures created via generative AI technology. The proposal utilises the efficiency and realism attainable through the unsettling merging of natural language and promptograph image generation. The aim is to fabricate a hypothetical experience of visiting an archaeological exhibition that contemporises and revisits the legendary culture portrayed by Critias in Plato’s eponymous dialogue (450 B.C.). The visit updates the stories told about this culture.
