On his tour around Germany in september 2012, Pope Benedict XVI pronounced an important discourse on the foundations of Law at the German Federal Parliament. The discuorse was an open and determined defense of Natural Law. This is not only of theoretical interst, but also educational: it states complete and coherently the main thesis of Natural Law doctrine; at the same time, the fact that a political document of such importance deal with the foundations of Law shows the practical relevance of the Philosophy of Law.
