Abstract

In the study of the sacra sacra of Iberia we have identified a rock bed in Ceclavín, Cáceres. The sacra saxa are “supernatural” rocks associated with myths and magical rites from ancestral animist traditions that allow us to know the supernatural and magical vision of the sacred landscape of the pre-Roman peoples of Iberia, which has lasted Christianized in rites of popular magic considered “superstitions “ The rock bed of Ceclavín is located next to a stream and oriented precisely to the north, towards the numina or divinities of the Other World. This rock bed is related to the tradition of incubatio in the Hispania Celtica, whose documents are analyzed next to the popular tradition in Galicia of healing in magic rock-beds.
