Abstract

Ozone (O3) is a blue gas that constitutes an unstable form of oxygen. It is very common to refer to this compound interchangeably as a beneficial or harmful agent. O3 has been found to have varied industrial utility. However, derived from this use, there are currently numerous studies dedicated to clarifying the effect of O3 as part of atmospheric pollutant gases in the induction of lung conditions. On the other hand, the protection of the stratospheric O3 layer has become a fundamental objective for the survival of life on our planet. Also, the number of scientific articles reporting the benefits of therapeutic use of O3 is increasing every day.
