Abstract

Initially, the processes in which species based their intra-specific and inter-specific interactions were mainly related to two important concepts: ‘struggle for existence’ and ‘altruism’. Both terms were transcendental in the Darwinian conception of evolution. However, the first one was for many the one that provided more elements to explain the evolution of species.
