Se ha efectuado una revisio?n taxono?mica del ge?nero Isoetes L. en la Peni?nsula Ibe?rica, reconocie?ndose representantes de las cuatro secciones admitidas para el ge?nero. Se propone un nuevo cambio de rango y se reivindica el nombre de Isoetes setacea Lam.
Se incluye una clave para la determinacio?n de los taxones y para cada uno de ellos se indica el nombre va?lido, sinonimias, descripcio?n, nu?mero cromoso?mico, tipo (cuando ha sido posible su estudio), ecologi?a, relacio?n del material estudiado y mapa de distribucio?n.
