A new Cantabrian association of the Classe Polygono-poetea annuae class: Poo annuae-spergularietum salinae

In this paper is carried out a revision of the nitrophylous and pioneer communities from intensely trampled biotopes (Polygono—Poeteaannuae) existing in the colinous and montanous territories of the Cantabrian cornice (Pronvinces Ca?ntabro— Atla?ntica and Orocanta?brica).It is reasserted the existence in these areas of communities referable to Polygono—Matricarietum matricarioidis, Bryo—Saginetum procumbentis, Polygono—Coronopetum squam ati and perhaps to Crassulo tillaeae— Saginatum apetalae. It is described a new association developed on somewhat salted soils in harbour areas and paths on the cantabrian coastal cliffs: Poo annuae—Spergularietum salinae.
