Observations on the dinoflagellates (Pyrrhophyta) of the coast of Castellon (Spain)

In the present work, 27 species of dinoflagellates (Pyrrhophyta) were determinated. The samples were taken in the 1989 autumn in the Mediterranean neritic zone near the harbour of Castello?n (Eastern coast of Spain) (U.T.M. 31S BE451293). Morphometrical characteres of the species are coment. The species are incluse in the genus: Prorocentrum, Amphisolenia, Dinophysis, Ornithocercus, Peridinium, Ceratocorys and Ceratium. The specie Dinophisis schuetti Murray et Whitting, 1899 is reported for the first time in this coast.
