Abstract

A reflection is made on the conflictive relationship that human beings have with their bodies and their advanced technology in this era of globalisation. The ergonomic devices or artefacts it creates, and the increasingly artificial representations it makes of them, have become the main reference models. Their ergonomic forms are designed to make us adapt to them, creating unnatural habits that affect our health, feeding a complex or feeling of inferiority towards them, underpinning a desire for control and fetishisation based on transhuman ideals.
