Animación médica en la educación del paciente: enfoque de PubMed e implicaciones para la formación de traductores y la didáctica de la traducción

Resumen

Este artículo examina la terminología empleada en publicaciones indexadas en PubMed para referirse a las animaciones médicas en la educación del paciente, analizando también cómo se evalúan los contenidos y de qué manera se equilibran la claridad narrativa, el atractivo estético y el rigor científico. Los resultados revelan, por un lado, una ambigüedad terminológica al utilizar la etiqueta «animación médica» en textos dirigidos al público no especializado y, por otro, la existencia de marcos heterogéneos para la evaluación de contenidos. Asimismo, el artículo pone de relieve la ausencia de la animación médica como campo de investigación dentro de los estudios de traducción, a pesar de su creciente relevancia en la comunicación sanitaria multilingüe e incluso cuando su propia naturaleza invita a explorar estrategias de traducción multimodal. Además, las animaciones médicas pueden constituir una herramienta pedagógica para el desarrollo de competencias como la alfabetización multimodal, la alfabetización visual, la negociación colaborativa del conocimiento, la investigación transdisciplinar, el diálogo interdisciplinar entre modos narrativos, el análisis científico y la síntesis creativa de la ciencia médica, la tecnología, la comunicación visual y las prácticas lingüísticas.
